Triven Goveas accompanied on the keyboard. The event commenced at 5.30 pm with a prayer song which was sung by Canan D’Souza, Joel D’Souza, Ida Pinto, Ruby Rodriguez, Leanne D’Souza, Cavin D’Souza and Joel Mendonca. Parish priest of Sts Peter and Paul Church Ruwi, Fr Raul Ramos, and spiritual director Fr Marian Miranda facilitated the MCCP in conducting this event in the Parish Hall. They will now compete in the final round to be held in Qatar. In a competition that saw splendid performances by six couples, Deepak D’Souza and Glenda Castelino were adjudged winners. Gulf Baila Naach is a competition organized by Mangalore Cricket Club Qatar, as part of its silver jubilee celebrations for all Mangalorean Konkani Catholics residing in Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar.
